8 killed, 23 injured as goods vehicle collides with truck in Bemetara

Five girls and three kids have been killed and 23 individuals injured when a goods vehicle they have been travelling in collided with a truck in Chhattisgarh’s Bemetara district, police stated on Monday.

The accident occurred late Sunday evening close to Kathia village when the victims have been returning after attending a household operate, a senior police official stated.

The goods vehicle collided with the mini truck that was parked by the roadside, the official stated. Those killed have been recognized as Bhuri Nishad (50), Neera Sahu (55), Geeta Sahu (60), (*23*) Sahu (60), Khushbu Sahu (39), Madhu Sahu (5), Rikesh Nishad (6) and Twinkle Nishad (6), he stated. The injured individuals have been admitted to 2 hospitals. Later, 4 critically injured individuals have been shifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur, he stated.
