A 33-year-old passenger travelling from South Africa’s Cape Town returning to Mumbai via Dubai has been detected with the new COVID-19’s Omicron variant. He is a resident of Kalyan-Dombivli. This is the first case of the variant in Maharashtra and the fourth in the country.
As per the Maharashtra Health Department, he hasn’t taken any vaccine.
