HYDERABAD: Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd, Japan, on Thursday mentioned it has commercialised its integrated air-conditioning and compressor manufacturing facility at Sri City in Andhra Pradesh.
The new facility, which is unfold throughout 75.5 acres, can have a capability to fabricate 1.5 million room air-conditioners (ACs) and three million compressors for room ACs every year.
The Japanese participant mentioned that is its third unit in India and is a part of the Rs 2,800 crore investments it has made in India.
Daikin mentioned the new facility is strategically positioned to cater to the growing demand for air-con merchandise manufactured in India, each domestically and internationally.
It will concentrate on growing climate-friendly air-con options for markets in West Africa, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, the Middle East, South America, and East Africa, it added.
The manufacturing unit, for which the inspiration stone was laid in April 2022, aligns with Daikin’s aspiration to attain internet zero greenhouse fuel emissions by 2050, the corporate mentioned.
