Amid reviews that oil advertising firms (OMC) are prone to cut back prices of petrol and diesel, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave an update on the difficulty on Saturday. The minister stated that oil firms shall be able to have a look at the difficulty if the worldwide crude price stays secure and these corporations have a very good subsequent quarter.
He, nevertheless, added that he was not able to make an announcement on the difficulty. “As we go along we will see what can be done,” the minister informed a press convention. He stated state-run oil advertising firms did ‘okay’ within the final quarter.
“They have recovered some of their losses. They have been very good corporate citizens. As we go along we will see what can be done,” he stated. The Narendra Modi-led authorities has ensured that there isn’t any rise in oil prices since April 22, Puri stated and famous that the federal government will make sure that shoppers endure no hardship.

Earlier, there have been reviews that the businesses have nearly recovered their losses and are nearing normalcy. As a consequence, the expectation is for the businesses to decrease the prices of petrol and diesel since they not face under-recoveries in these fuels. In Delhi, one litre of petrol prices Rs 96.72 on June 10, 2023, whereas one litre of diesel prices Rs 89.62.
