The Pinarayi Vijayan-led government has announced further relaxations in the state for those who have taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday (November 3). The decision came after a review meeting regarding the COVID-19 situation in Kerala.Â
Along with Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan the meeting was also attended by Health Minister Veena George, Revenue Minister K Rajan, Chief Secretary VP Joy, state police chief Anil Kant, department secretaries, district collectors, district police chiefs and others.Â
In the meeting, CM Vijayan directed the Health Minister to issue new guidelines for those partially vaccinated that will include social distancing and masking at all times.Â
Here are some new guidelines issued by the Kerala government:Â
– Any individual who has taken a single dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will now be able to enter theatres in the state.Â
– The limit for weddings, funerals and other social gatherings has been increased to 100 individuals.Â
– Other political, cultural, and community events in closed arenas can also have a gathering of 100 people.
– Events taking place in open spaces can be attended by 200 people.Â
Recently, Kerala reopened schools and the response has been good so far from recording 80 percent attendance on the first day of opening.
Kerala recorded 7,312 fresh COVID-19 cases and 362 deaths on Wednesday. Â
