Free ration scheme in UP extended till Holi, CM Yogi announces from Ayodhya

Date:

On the eve of Diwali, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a big announcement. During the grand Deepotsav program in Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram, CM Yogi said that the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana will be extended till Holi.

The scheme was earlier extended till November, the CM said that since the coronavirus pandemic is not over yet, the state government has decided to extend it till Holi.

The CM told the sacred city of Lord Ram that the state government has decided to give three months’ ration to the Antyodaya card holder for free. Under this scheme, pulses, oil, salt and sugar will also be given every month. 15 crore people of the state will be able to take advantage of this scheme.

On the occasion, Yogi said that earlier, the money of the state was spent on the boundary of the cemetery, today it is being spent on the reconstruction and beautification of the temples. This is the difference in thinking, those who loved the cemetery used to invest public money there, those who love religion and culture are using that money for the upliftment and upgradation of religion and culture. He added that an international airport is being built in Ayodhya.

The chief minister further said that when the discussion of Deepotsav came 5 years ago, there was no big program on Diwali in Ayodhya at that time. Today, from Union Ministers to High Commissioners of three countries and hundreds of people have come here to see their beloved city of Ayodhya. It is a big celebration in itself. In Lucknow, Agra, Kashi, Prayag also, this program is being organized in grandeur everywhere.
