ICC T20 World Cup 2021: Amid star English batsman Jos Buttler’s explosive 71-not out winning knock against Australia at the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai, former cricketer and current commentator Shane Watson’s error in judgement sparked a hilarious Twitter storm.

On the way to beating Australia comprehensively, Buttler hit a massive six out of the park on a delivery by fast bowler Mitchell Starc.

While commentating on the shot, Watson mistook the Moon for the white-ball high up in the sky. This happened during the replay of the six was aired. Watson said live as he gazed at the ball in the air, “Isn’t that incredible, the beauty of the earth that we live on.”

Thankfully, he was corrected by the co-commentator right away. Nevertheless, Watson’s funny misidentification quickly went viral on social media.
