India clinched a clinical victory over Scotland in their fourth match in Group 2 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul got India across the line in just 6.3 overs. India won the clash by eight wickets.
While Hitman was sent back after a powerful 30 runs of 16 balls, the damage was already done. However, it was Rahul’s half-century and skipper Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav’s cameo helped India win the match comfortably.
Soon after the clash, the Karnataka batter shared photos with Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, who had turned a year older on November 5.
While there were many rumours of the two dating, it could most likely be now confirmed after KL Rahul dropped a cute birthday post for her and also made their relationship official.
Sharing two photos, the stylish batsman captioned the image, “Happy birthday my – with a heart emoji, which could mean love”. Athiya too acknowledged the post by dropping in a white heart and world emojis.

Earlier, the lady was seen watching and cheering for Team India from the stands in Dubai where the side won the match. After spotting her in the stands, many fans even questioned if the ‘KLassic’ 50 was a gift for Athiya Shetty or skipper Virat Kohli – both of who are celebrating their birthdays today.
As for the clash, while the victory surely increased India’s net run rate and got them above Afghanistan and obviously, New Zealand, however, this all would be useless if the Kiwis win their match against the Afghans.
