Sudipto Sen’s just lately launched movie The Kerala Story has sparked large controversy and political backlash, with the Congress social gathering earlier calling for a ban on the movie. Now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has backed the controversial film.
While addressing a public rally in Karnataka forward of the meeting elections, PM Modi talked about The Kerala Story, saying that the film is bringing out the phobia conspiracies within the state. The Prime Minister additionally took a dig at Congress within the rally, invoking the movie.
PM Modi mentioned within the Bellary rally, “Such a beautiful state (Kerala) of the country, where people are hardworking and talented. The Kerala Story brings out the terror conspiracies happening in that state.”
The prime minister additional mentioned, “It is unfortunate that Congress can be seen standing with this terror trend that is seeking to ruin the country. Congress is even indulging in a backdoor political bargain with people having terror inclinations. The people of Karnataka should be cautious about the Congress.”
The Kerala Story inventive producer Vipul Shah revealed that he was elated that PM Modi “took a stand” for the movie, and the Kerala High Court gave a “lovely judgement” concerning the controversial movie.
While talking to PTI, Vipul Shah mentioned, “What more can we ask on a day when first in the morning, the Kerala High Court gives such a lovely judgment and none other than the honorable Prime Minister talks about our film and he highlights the issue that we are trying to highlight through the film.”
He additional added, “We have been saying this is a film against terror, terrorism, it is not against any community, religion and that stand is vindicated by none other than the honorable Prime Minister.”
The Kerala Story, launched on May 5, has a plot surrounding the lives of 4 women, who transformed to Islam and joined ISIS and had been caught on their technique to Afghanistan. The movie touches on matters equivalent to love jihad and compelled non secular conversion.
