In a contemporary violence in Manipur, three individuals have been allegedly shot dead and 5 others injured in Thoubal district on Monday night. Those injured have been admitted to a hospital, officers stated. The gunmen arrived in camouflage attire in the Lilong Chingjao space and opened hearth focusing on locals. They are but to be recognized. A curfew has been reimposed in the 5 valley districts of the state after the incident. These districts are Thoubal, Imphal East and Imphal West, Kakching and Bishnupur.

In a video message, Chief Minister N Biren Singh condemned the violence and appealed to the folks for sustaining peace. “Police are working to arrest those behind the attack. They will be arrested soon and punished as per the law,” he stated.
A complete of 140 checkpoints have been put in in completely different districts, each in the hill and the valley.
