Sixteen flights that have been supposed to land in Delhi have been diverted on Monday night after heavy rains and lightning affected the operations in the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Sixteen flights that have been supposed to land in Delhi have been diverted on Monday night after heavy rains and lightening affected the operations on the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The flights have been diverted between 1800 and 1900 hours. As per studies, ten flights have been diverted to Jaipur, three to Lucknow, two to Amritsar and one to Ahmedabad. 

An official mentioned 5 Air India flights have been diverted. Among them, a flight coming from Sydney was diverted to Jaipur.
