Shiv Sena (UBT) Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut on Saturday expressed ‘grief’ over the accident on the Samruddhi-Mahamarg Expressway in Maharashtra’s Buldhana by which 25 passengers of a non-public bus died after the car caught hearth and termed it “extremely disheartening”.

“The accident that took place today on Samruddhi highway is extremely disheartening,” he informed ANI.

Lashing out on the Ekath Shinde-led authorities over the “frequent accidents” on this street, Raut stated, “Several accidents are taking place on this road but the government is not paying heed to it”

The accident came about at round 1:30 am on Saturday on the Samruddhi-Mahamarg Expressway in Maharashtra’s Buldhana.

“The bus was travelling from Nagpur to Pune when it met with an accident at round 1:30 am. The driver stated that the accident came about after a tyre burst, resulting in flames within the bus. Later the diesel tank of the car caught hearth.

There are three kids amongst those that died and the remaining are adults. The actual motive for the accident has not but been ascertained,” Buldhana Superintendant of Police (SP) Sunil Kadasane told reporters.
