Ten individuals together with 4 ladies have been killed in an explosion at a fireworks manufacturing facility in Virudhunagar district on Saturday. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Okay Stalin directed two state ministers to coordinate the rescue and reduction actions.
The Chief Minister mentioned an explosion in a firecracker manufacturing unit in Kundayiruppu village in Vembakottai resulted within the dying of ten individuals – six males and 4 ladies. He has directed State Revenue Minister Okay Okay S S R Ramachandran and Labour Minister C V Ganesan to right away rush to the spot and guarantee rescue and reduction actions, an official launch right here mentioned.

Preliminary enquiry revealed that there was overcrowding within the chemical mixing room and that the explosion may have been triggered when the chemical was being dealt with, he mentioned. The manufacturing facility proprietor had a licence. Asked how the explosion occurred, the Collector replied “It could have been due to a human error. We have ordered a thorough enquiry by an inter-departmental team.”
