Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Monday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his remarks on the new Parliament constructing inauguration, saying freedom of thought with the aspirational underpinnings of 1.4 billion minds and never bricks and mortar will make his “new India”.
Modi on Sunday described the inauguration of the brand new Parliament constructing as an “immortalised” second within the nation’s improvement journey, asserting that it’s going to mark the daybreak of a self-reliant and developed India which will even encourage the progress of different nations.

In a speech delivered from the grand Lok Sabha corridor embellished in a peacock motif, Modi stated the brand new Parliament constructing mirrored the aspirations and resolve of the “new India” to set and work in the direction of reaching larger heights.
In a tweet, Sibal cited the prime minister’s remarks on the inauguration throughout which he invoked the brand new India.
“Not brick and mortar but freedom of thought with the aspirational underpinnings of 1.4 b minds, where ideas flourish, colours splash. Not: Saffron, Fractious, Intolerant, will make my new India,” the previous Union minister stated.

Sibal, who was a Union minister through the UPA 1 and UPA 2 governments, give up the Congress in May final 12 months and was elected to the Rajya Sabha as an Independent member with the Samajwadi Party’s help.
