BJP wins Surat seat before polls, here’s how

Even as voting for all 26 Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat is but to happen, BJP candidate from Surat parliamentary seat has gained. BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal managed to win the seat in spite of everything different nominees withdrew from the fray. He was elected unopposed and acquired his successful certificates on Monday. Notably, the candidature of Congress’ Nilesh Kumbhani from the Surat seat was rejected on Sunday after the district returning officer prima facie discovered discrepancies within the signature of the proposers.

Congress on Sunday alleged that Kumbhani’s nomination kind was rejected on the behest of the BJP and mentioned it could problem the rejection within the High Court. In the 2019 polls, BJP gained all 26 constituencies in Gujarat, the house state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The outcomes for all of the remaining 25 seats in Gujarat shall be declared on June 4.
