As many as 100 children reportedly took ill as a consequence of alleged food poisoning and have been admitted to the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior on Tuesday.

According to Republic, the scholars had consumed dinner in the institute’s mess, following which a number of of them began complaining of abdomen ache and vomiting.

“Around 100 students have fallen ill (due to food poisoning). None of them, however, is in serious condition,” Amit Yadav, registrar at Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, instructed PTI. 

Yadav added that strict motion can be taken towards these chargeable for the lapse in food security. Samples will likely be collected for testing to establish the supply of contamination, he additional mentioned.

Some of the scholars are mentioned to be ICU and authorities are intently monitoring the state of affairs.
