Work From Office: Wipro asks staff to work from office thrice a week

BENGALURU: Like a few of its friends, Wipro is asking staff to return to office thrice a week starting November 15. Wipro has warned staff of penalties from January 7 in the event that they fail to adjust to the coverage.
When TOIreached out to Wipro, the corporate stated, “Recognising the immense benefits of in-person collaboration and innovation, we are now taking the next step in our workplace policy evolution and requiring all employees to work from the office three days a week, effective November 15.We strongly believe that in-person interactions are critical to the professional development of our talent as well as to our success in driving ongoing innovation for clients. We look forward to welcoming all our employees to the office.”
Wipro stated since May, the corporate has been encouraging its staff to work from office thrice a week. “Currently, approximately 55% of our employees are coming to the office three days a week,” it stated.
Recently, Infosys has requested choose staff on the junior and mid-levels to return to office 10 days in a month starting November 20. TCS, alternatively, is asking staff to return to office on all 5 days of the week.
