NEW DELHI: The Centre on Friday mentioned that the overall number of Jan Dhan accounts has crossed 50 crores with deposits above Rs 2.03 lakh crore in them.
According to the newest reviews submitted by the banks, 56% of the accounts belong to girls and whereas 67% of accounts have been opened in rural/semi-urban areas.
About 34 crore RuPay playing cards have been issued in these accounts free of value, the Centre mentioned.
The common stability in PMJDY accounts is Rs 4,076 and greater than 5.5 crore PMJDY accounts are receiving DBT advantages.
