Online meals supply platform Swiggy has began charging all customers a ‘platform payment’ of Rs 2 per meals order, no matter the cart worth. The firm instructed IANS that the extra costs are being levied solely on meals orders on the primary platform and doesn’t apply on Instamart customers.

“The platform fee is a nominal flat fee charged on food orders. This fee helps us operate and improve our platform and enhance app features to deliver a seamless app experience,” a Swiggy spokesperson stated in a press release.
