Rabi Sankar re-appointed RBI deputy governor

MUMBAI: Central govt has re-appointed T Rabi Sankar as deputy governor of RBI for one yr, efficient from May 3, 2024, or till additional orders.
Sankar, who holds an M Phil in economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, assumed the place of deputy governor in May 2021. Prior to his appointment, he served as govt director at RBI.
Beginning his profession at RBI in 1990, he has held varied roles together with tasks in funds & settlement, monetary markets, and public debt administration.His experience encompasses trade fee, reserves portfolio, and public debt administration, financial operations, and the event, regulation, and surveillance of economic markets.
