JSW, Amara Raja, Reliance submit bids to make batteries in India

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries, JSW Neo Energy, and Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies are amongst seven firms vying to set up a battery manufacturing gigafactory in India, as confirmed by the federal government.
These firms have submitted bids to arrange models for manufacturing superior chemistry cells with a complete capability of 10GWh underneath the federal government’s production-linked incentive scheme.India is incentivising personal corporations to improve native manufacturing, with a most outlay of 36.20 billion rupees for the battery manufacturing scheme.
The growth of battery power initiatives is essential for India’s purpose of ramping up renewable power capability to 500 gigawatts by 2030, up from the present 178 GW.
Notable contenders like Reliance Industries and JSW Neo Energy, together with Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies, are in the operating.
Following this information, shares of Amara Raja Energy and Mobility surged by 15% to attain a document excessive.
