NEW DELHI: Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett is optimistic about India and stated that there are loads of alternatives when requested if Berkshire was actively looking for alternatives in India in the course of the firm’s annual assembly on Sunday.
Buffett recommended that Berkshire, which focuses on buying and managing companies throughout numerous industries, might discover the untapped potential in India.
“In India, I am sure that there are loads of opportunities in a place like India, and the question is do we have any advantage, in either insights into those businesses or contacts that will make possible for some transactions that participants in India would particularly want us to participate,” stated Buffet.
“I would say that’s something that more energetic management at Berkshire could pursue because we do have a reputation now and is known around the world and our Japanese experience has been fascinating. In that respect, so there may be an unexplored or unattended to opportunities and area (in India),” Buffet added.
The veteran investor hinted at a doable entry into the Indian market, indicating that it would not take lengthy for Berkshire to pursue alternatives within the nation and the brand new administration would make choices relating to investments in India.
