NEW DELHI: Benchmark fairness indices Sensex and Nifty plunges on Tuesday. Sensex declined 361.64 or 0.50% to 72,470.30 whereas Nifty settled at 22,004.70 after it fell 92.05 or 0.42%.
Sensex and Nifty dropped sharply in early commerce on Tuesday as a result of overseas fund outflows and a weak US market pattern.
The Sensex fell 468.91 factors to 72,363.03, whereas the Nifty declined by 149.2 factors to 21,947.55.
Among the key losers within the Sensex had been PowerGrid, Bharti Airtel, Wipro, and HDFC Bank, whereas Bajaj Finance, NTPC, and Larsen & Toubro had been among the many gainers.
In Asian markets, Tokyo and Shanghai had been down, whereas Seoul and Hong Kong had been up.
