NEW DELHI: Mukesh Ambani on Saturday emphasised the essential position of enterprise group in fostering a stronger and extra inclusive India.
Speaking at an occasion organised by the Gems and Jewellery Exports Promotion (GJEPC), the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries expressed confidence within the business’s potential to obtain USD 100 billion in exports within the coming years.
“All of us collectively in the business community have a responsibility to build a stronger, better and more inclusive India to fulfil the vision and the goal that our PM has set for us, that of a Viksit Bharat, a fully developed India in the next decades,” he stated.
Ambani counseled the gems and diamonds sector for its important contribution, with exports reaching USD 40 billion and producing over 50 lakh jobs.
Originating from humble beginnings, Ambani praised the business’s progress led by people from Palanpur, expressing satisfaction of their achievements.
Acknowledging his household’s roots in Kathiawad, Ambani prompt collaboration alternatives with the Palanpuris, emphasizing that partnerships may lead to better alternatives. “Sometimes partnership between the Kathaiwadis and Palanpuris can make the opportunity bigger. The bigger the pie, the better for us,” he stated.
He talked about his daughter-in-law, Shloka Mehta, because the daughter of Russel Mehta from Rosyblue, a pioneering firm within the sector. Ambani expressed gratitude for having Shloka within the household, noting her heat and knowledge.
At the occasion, Mehta was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award, with Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais in attendance. Ambani’s remarks underscored the business’s progress and the significance of collective efforts in shaping a promising future for India.
