AstraZeneca admits in court that its ‘Covid vaccine can cause TTS side effects in rare circumstances’

NEW DELHI: UK Pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca has admitted that its Covid-19 vaccine has the potential to cause to a rare side impact referred to as Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS), as reported by The Telegraph.
AstraZeneca which collaborated with the University of Oxford to create the vaccine is at present coping with a lawsuit that claims their vaccine has triggered deaths and extreme hurt to those that obtained it.
Previous yr, Jamie Scott, a father of two, took authorized motion after affected by a blood clot that left him unable to work. Scott stated that he developed a “blood clot and a bleed on his brain”, leaving him with an enduring mind damage following his vaccination in April 2021.

However, in May 2023, the company informed Scott’s lawyers that they do not acknowledge that TTS is induced by the vaccine on a general level.
Later in the legal document submitted to the High Court the multinational pharmaceutical company said,” “It is admitted that the AZ vaccine can, in very rare circumstances, cause TTS. The causal mechanism will not be identified.”
Kate has demanded an apology and fair compensation for their family and other affected families, stating that it took three years for the admission.
She said,”We have the reality on our side, and we’re not going to surrender.”
As per the report, fifty-one circumstances have been filed in the High Court, with affected people and their households pursuing compensation amounting to an estimated £100 million.
AstraZeneca additionally collaborated with the Serum Institute of India (SII), the biggest vaccine producer globally, to offer the vaccine to the Indian Government.
