As Team India is all set to play Scotland for the first time in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, a lot of the talks are on about what the Men in Blue should do to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
While the clash is all set to be played in Dubai, and both sides will be looking for a win, a stat doing the rounds on social media has grabbed the attention of netizens.
It stat talks about the financial gains cricket brings to the two countries. Apparently, it has been learnt that the money BCCI earns from 14 overs of one Indian Premier League (IPL) match, equals the yearly revenue of Cricket Scotland.
Surely the differences in the economies of India and Scotland is known, but surely this is a huge deal.
To put #INDvSCO into further context, it turns out that based on their broadcast deal, the BCCI earns approximately the same amount of money in 14 overs of every IPL match, USD 2.6 million, that Cricket Scotland does over a whole year as their annual revenue #T20WorldCup

As for the clash, Virat Kohli’s team will face Scotland and then, later on, take on Namibia. The side needs to win their next fixtures with bigger margins. Not just that, they will also need Afghanistan to beat New Zealand, no matter what the margin is, to make it to the semi-finals.
