A 17-year-old boy allegedly dedicated suicide at Kalyan within the district after being scolded for stealing cash from residence to purchase an iPhone, police stated on Wednesday. The deceased, who hailed from Gajipur in Uttar Pradesh, lived together with his uncle within the Mira Road space right here the place he did his education, stated an official.
The boy was discovered to have hanged himself from a tree close to the railway tracks in Kalyan on Monday, stated Inspector Ashok Honmane of Mahatma Phule police station.
