The Madhya Pradesh authorities has made amendments in Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Special Provision for appointment of women) Rules, 1997 offering 35% reservation in recruitment to women, barring the Forest Department.
The General Administration Department has launched a notification, following an announcement by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The 35% reservation will probably be relevant to all authorities departments besides the Forest Department.
“Notwithstanding anything contained in any service rules, there shall be reserved thirty-five percent of all posts in the service under the state (except Forest Department) in favour of women at the stage of direct recruitment and the said reservation shall be horizontal and compartment-wise,” the notification learn.
The reservation for women in authorities jobs has been mounted after the Chief Minister’s order. This announcement comes forward of the MP Assembly polls that are scheduled to be held on the finish of this yr.
