IT company duped of Rs 40 lakh in insurance policy rip-off; one arrested, another on the run

An IT agency was reportedly duped of over Rs 40 lakh by an insurance policy company, and the FIR has been registered towards the two administrators of the company.

In but another fraud case in Mumbai, the Sakinaka Police ended up arresting Samrat Sengupta, the Director of Shot Format Digital Production Pvt Ltd, for duping an IT agency by means of an insurance policy rip-off.

IT agency Proservz Digitech Pvt Ltd had been sourcing some of their insurance companies from Shot Format Digital Production Pvt Ltd, and had been paying common premiums for a number of months. The IT agency had finished enterprise Shot Format earlier than, so they’d religion in the company.

Prashant Shinde, the CEO of Proservz Digitech, stated that they’d been paying their premium to Shot Format for 3-4 years, however there was a large delay on the claims.

Shinde, in his assertion, stated, “We initiated a small line of venture with them. This matter was initiated as they demanded an advance premium for a policy removal & they will business product name – LAPU (i.e. Ledger Accounting Premium Utilisation. They acknowledge us that they valid Insurance tie-ups/Policies and licenses to enter & sell this product called LAPU.”

When searching for their declare and following up on their premium funds, Shinde and his agency solely received delayed responses and refused to do in-person conferences. Eventually, Shot Format began intimidating Proservz and threatening them with authorized motion.

The IT agency was later being requested to pay more cash, and came upon that the accused agency had been devaluing their investments.

After the FIR was filed, Samrat Sengupta was arrested by the police whereas the Managing Director of Shot Format, Niyatee Shah is reportedly on the run.
