IMD has issued red, orange and yellow alerts for all districts of Telangana on Sunday, September 1.
In view of heavy rains throughout the state, the federal government has directed the district to implement measures to stop lack of life and property as heavy rains hit numerous components of Telangana inflicting flooding in low-lying areas and disrupting highway connections between some villages.
IMD has issued red, orange and yellow alerts for all districts of Telangana on Sunday, September 1. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has requested all authorities division officers to be on excessive alert.
The Chief Minister spoke to Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and directed to make sure that the officers of the Revenue, Municipal, Electricity, and Health Departments are on excessive alert.
Officials have been instructed to take all measures to stop any untoward incidents and shift individuals from the low-lying areas to the reduction camps instantly. In view of the lifting of the gates of the reservoirs, officers have been requested to vacate individuals within the low-lying areas to safer locations.
As per the directions of the CM, the Chief Secretary and DGP Jitender held a teleconference with the Collectors, SPs, Police Commissioners, Corporations, and Municipal Commissioners of all districts.
The high officers have been requested to evaluation the field-level scenario every so often and take vital motion. GHMC will have moderate rains and heavy rains at certain times. Hyderabad is issued orange warning for today and tomorrow,” Nagaratnam stated.
In a press launch, IMD on Saturday stated that the Southwest monsoon has been energetic over Telangana, including that very heavy rainfall occurred at remoted locations in Narayanpet and heavy rainfall occurred at most locations in Mahabubabad, a number of locations in Warangal, and remoted locations in B. Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Suryapet, and Wanaparthy Districts of Telangana.
The IMD has issued a red alert and predicted very heavy to extraordinarily heavy rain very prone to happen at remoted locations in Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana on Sunday.The IMD has issued a yellow alert and predicted heavy rain at a number of locations within the districts Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Medak of Telangana on Sunday.
