During his go to, Abdullah additionally addressed the continuing protests in Katra over the development of a ropeway venture. He urged the authorities managing the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine to make sure their actions don’t hurt the native inhabitants.
“The livelihood of people living in these hills depends on the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi,” Abdullah stated, expressing solidarity with locals protesting in opposition to the venture. He emphasised that the voices of the folks have to be heard, as they’ve the ability to form governments.
Abdullah added, “Those in power must not forget the people’s struggles. When the power of God prevails, everything else diminishes. Just look at what’s happening in California.”
