“If any advertisement has already been released for telecast/broadcast or published in the print media, it must be ensured that the telecast/broadcast of such advertisement on electronic media is stopped forthwith,” stated the order.
No wall writing, pasting of posters or defacement in another kind or displaying of cutouts, hoardings, banners and flags can be permitted on any authorities premise, stated one other order.
The use of official automobiles for campaigning, electioneering or election associated journey can be utterly banned.
The Delhi Assembly polls can be held on February 5 and the counting of votes can be held on February 8, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar introduced earlier within the day. The final date to file the nominations is January 17 and the scrutiny of nominations can be carried out by January 18. The candidates will be capable to withdraw their nominations until January 20.
