A 13-year-old girl out to relieve herself in a village right here was found in a river with a noose round her neck on Wednesday, police mentioned. The body of the girl was found hidden below stones and sticks in the Reth River.
She had a dupatta tied in the type of a noose round her neck, police mentioned. The autopsy report is awaited to verify if the girl was raped earlier than the homicide.
According to police, the Class 7 scholar had in the morning gone to the forest space on the financial institution of Reth River, about 200 metres away from her home, to defecate. When she didn’t return for a very long time, her household began trying to find her and knowledgeable the police.
Deva Police Station SHO Pankaj Singh mentioned the girl’s body was hidden below stones, leaves and dust. Due to being submerged in the water for a very long time, it was arduous to verify if she had any damage marks.
Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh, who visited the spot, mentioned that the spot was inspected by a group from the crime department and a canine squad.

Police found marks on the bottom which steered that the girl was dragged in the direction of the river. The SP mentioned the girl’s household has denied having any enmity with anybody.
On the idea of the criticism of the girl’s father, an FIR has been lodged and additional motion is on, the SHO mentioned.
