A 24-year-old techie died by suicide after setting herself ablaze in a hotel room based mostly in Karnataka’s Bengaluru, NDTV reported.

As per the report, the deceased took the intense step as her uncle and aunt had been reportedly blackmailing her along with her private images and movies. The incident occurred at Radha Hometel, close to Kundalahalli metro station on Sunday night. 

On the day of the incident, her uncle was allegedly forcing her to fulfill him at the hotel premises, says the report. 

Meanwhile, he has been arrested and an in depth probe is underway into the matter. According to the Whitefield Deputy Commissioner Shivakumar Gunar, the deceased was initially reluctant to fulfill her uncle at the hotel. However, having been threatened by him, she was pressured to take action. 

The deceased additionally carried some petrol, which she poured on herself and set herself ablaze, reported the outlet, citing police. 

She was later rushed to a hospital the place she succumbed to the accidents. 

A case has been registered in opposition to her uncle and aunt underneath varied sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). A pen drive has additionally been recovered from the accused’s possession, stated the police.
