Himanta Biswa Sharma’s wife will file a defamation suit of Rs 10 crore against Congress Deputy chief in Lok sabha Gaurav Gogoi for his alleged ‘slanderous marketing campaign’ against the corporate with which she is related.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa (*10*) wife Riniki Bhuyan Sarma on Wednesday stated that she is going to file a defamation suit of Rs 10 crore against Congress Deputy chief in Lok sabha Gaurav Gogoi for his alleged ‘slanderous marketing campaign’ against the corporate with which she is related.
Gogoi on Wednesday alleged that the corporate of the chief minister’s wife acquired a credit score subsidy of Rs 10 crore.
Bhuyan Sarma, in a press release, alleged that Gogoi had attacked a 17-year-old Assamese enterprise, headed by a girl entrepreneur, with the intention to malign and defame the corporate which has adhered to each side of the legislation.
“To protect the reputation of our hardworking employees from this slanderous campaign by MP Gaurav Gogoi, I am thereby constrained to file a case of defamation with Rs 10 crore damages against him in the court of law,” she stated.
The chief minister and Gogoi have been locked in a disagreement on X since Wednesday on the problem of the previous’s wife’s firm allegedly being given the credit score subsidy beneath the PM Kisan Sampada Yojana.
Sarma has additionally denied repeatedly that neither his wife nor the corporate she is related to, has acquired or claimed any quantity from the federal government of India.
He additionally stated that he was keen to settle for any punishment, together with retirement from public life, if there was any proof that his wife had acquired or claimed any quantity from the federal government of India.
