Attack on Bhim Army chief: Arrested accused reveal why they attacked Chandrashekhar Azad
The 4 individuals arrested for an assault on Bhim Army chief Chandra Shekhar Aazad have advised police that they have been “hurt” by his current remarks, a senior police officer mentioned on Sunday. During interrogation, the accused advised the police that they have been “hurt” by Aazad’s current remarks made in Delhi and different locations. They carried out the assault on Aazad as they have been upset by his “inappropriate remarks” (ulta sidhe bayano)”, the police mentioned within the assertion, with out giving out any particular remarks.
According to the police, on getting details about a programme of Aazad in Deoband, the accused made a plan to focus on him and did a recce of the world. Aazad, 36, had gone to attend a ‘terhavin’ ritual at a supporter’s dwelling in Deoband. The assailants fired “four shots” at his SUV when he was leaving after the programme round 5 pm.
The accused advised the police that they had two pistols and the car wherein they have been travelling belonged to and was pushed by Karnal-resident Vikas. As quickly as Aazad’s car slowed down close to a speed-breaker, the accused overtook the car and fired three rounds at him, they advised police.

Deoband-resident Vikky fired two rounds and Prashant fired one spherical after which the accused sped away, the police mentioned. After going a long way, the car ran out of gasoline and they left the car at Miragpur. The car was recovered by the police.
Director General of Police Vijaya Kumar has given a reward of Rs 50,000 and a quotation to the police group for cracking the case inside 72 hours, the assertion mentioned, and added that after the incident, police groups have been conducting raids at locations like Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Haryana.
