The official music video of “Mahakumbh Hai” is now accessible on Doordarshan and its digital platforms.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched theme track titled ‘Maha Kumbh Hai’ produced by Doordarshan for Maha Kumbh 2025, at an occasion held within the nationwide capital on Wednesday, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated in a press launch.

Sung by Padma Shri Kailash Kher, the track encapsulates the spirit of devotion, celebration, and the colourful cultural essence of the long-lasting Mahakumbh.

The profound lyrics, penned by famend author Aalok Shrivastav, and the soul-stirring music composed and organized by Kshitij Tarey, superbly showcase the confluence of religion, custom, and festivity that outline the Mahakumbh.

“A harmonious blend of traditional melodies and modern arrangements, “Mahakumbh Hai” is a heartfelt tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage and the timeless significance of the Mahakumbh Mela,” the Ministry said.

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting additionally inaugurated a special composition by Akashvani devoted to the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. The distinctive track encapsulates the religious, cultural, and spiritual significance of the Mahakumbh by a harmonious mix of music and lyrical presentation.

The track is a tribute to the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh, which is held on the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. Viewed from a devotee’s perspective, this musical masterpiece displays the essence of the world-renowned gathering. The arrival of the Maha Kumbh marks a second of pleasure for the land of Prayagraj, resonating with the chants of hundreds of thousands of devotees expressing their reverence.

The track has been delivered to life by the soulful vocals of Ratan Prasanna, with the music of Santosh Nahar and Ratan Prasanna. The inspiring lyrics, penned by Abhinay Shrivastava, superbly weave the religious reference to the divine.

The sacred act of taking a dip on the Triveni Sangam has been celebrated within the track as a purifying ritual, providing religious achievement throughout ages. This melodious tribute by Akashvani honors the timeless traditions and sanctity of the Maha Kumbh, fostering a way of devotion and pleasure amongst its listeners, the discharge added.
