CRPF constable Rajesh Kumar and Inspector Bhupendra Kumar had been airlifted Ranchi for therapy, IG Police Operations Amol V Homkar informed PTI. “Rajesh Kumar of 209 Cobra battalion succumbed to his injuries during treatment,” he stated.
Bhupendra Kumar is present process therapy at a personal hospital in Ranchi, the IG added Apart from CRPF’s Cobra battalion, Jharkhand Jaguar of the state police and district armed police had been concerned in the combing operation towards the Maoists, the police stated.
Several safety forces had been injured in the previous few months in such incidents. In August two personnel of the Jharkhand Jaguar Force had been killed in a gunfight with Maoists in the identical space. Nine Maoists had been gunned down by safety forces in 16 encounters in the state to date in 2023, whereas one other 236 had been arrested together with a central committee member and space commanders until July this 12 months.
