“Who doesn’t want to find love again?” Kathie Lee said on Access Live on Wednesday. “I think my probability is less, obviously. I think people, some men, are afraid of strong women. I wouldn’t be interested in a man like that anyway.”
The 64-year-old also said some men are intimidated because they don’t want to be compared to her late NFL legend husband.
“Some men are afraid of living up to the mantle of Frank Gifford and there’s no reason for that,” she said. “Frank was just a flawed man just like anybody else is. I didn’t know him as an 8-time hall-of-famer. He was my husband and my friend for four years before we fell in love.”
The “Today” host, who was married to Frank for 29 years, said that if dating is part of God’s will, she is “certainly open to it,” but only is the man shares the same dedication to faith that she has.
She said the one date she’s gone on since Frank’s 2015 passing didn’t work out because the suitor wasn’t passionate about his religion.
“My faith isn’t something I do on Sunday mornings for an hour,” said the author of the new book “The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi.” “My faith is me and I’m not going to share my life with somebody — or even another hour of my life on a date with you — if you don’t share the same passion for your faith as I do.”
While she is not cruising singles’ bars or swiping through dating apps, Kathie Lee’s hopes are high.
“I’m not deterred,” she said, joking: “No, I’m open to anybody that has their own teeth, honestly.”
