Western Carriers India bags Rs 139-crore order from Vedanta

KOLKATA: Western Carriers India Ltd (WCIL), a Kolkata-based logistics agency, has secured a materials dealing with order price Rs 139 crore from Vedanta Ltd, the corporate stated on Friday. The order entails an import, completed items home and export materials dealing with contract at Vedanta’s Jharsuguda plant for a length of 4 years, WCIL stated in an announcement.
“The order strengthens our relationship with Vedanta. This order opens avenues for future projects within the mining and mineral sector,” CEO of WCIL Kanishka Sethia stated.
As of March 31, 2024, WCIL reported gross sales of Rs 1,685 crore, a virtually 3 per cent enhance from the earlier 12 months. The firm’s web revenue stood at Rs 80.35 crore, translating to a 12-per cent on-year progress.
In September, the corporate, based in 1972, raised Rs 492 crore through its maiden IPO at a value of Rs 172 per share. At 3.16 pm, the inventory was buying and selling at Rs 122 per share on the NSE.
