TCS, IIT-Bombay team up for chip imaging tool


NEW DELHI: TCS and IIT Bombay have joined palms to construct India’s first superior sensing tool for semiconductor chips. The tool is predicted to cut back possibilities of chip failures and enhance the effectivity of digital gadgets, the IT main mentioned on Tuesday.
Collaboration between TCS and IIT Bombay to develop a quantum imaging platform for the non-destructive examination of chips is the primary such initiative in India, the corporate mentioned in an announcement.“TCS has entered a strategic partnership with the IIT Bombay, to develop India’s first Quantum Diamond Microchip Imager. This advanced sensing tool will hold the potential to unlock new levels of precision… ,” it mentioned.
Experts from TCS will work with Kasturi Saha, affiliate professor within the division {of electrical} engineering , to develop the quantum imaging platform within the PQuest Lab.
