MUMBAI: Tata Power organised a drive referred to as ‘Naam Badlav’ for simplifying altering names on electricity bills for Mumbai consumers in which 4,000 residents benefitted lately, a senior official stated on Friday.
The drive was organised from December 1 to fifteen and later prolonged upto December 31 on public demand, he stated.
It was carried out throughout buyer contact factors and in residential societies throughout Mira Road, Ghatkopar, Kurla, Lower Parel, Goregaon and Malad.”We received over 9,000 name change related inquiries, of which over 4000 consumers got their name changed in electricity bills. In these camps, Tata Power employees helped consumers to fill and submit the application form, and guide them with the process along with required documents such as ownership and identity proof documents etc.,” an official stated.
