MUMBAI: Sebi on Thursday allowed an alternate bourse to behave as a fall-back possibility for traders to commerce in case of a system outage on one. In impact, if there’s a trading system failure on BSE, NSE may act because the alternate trading platform for traders to commerce. The reverse can also be true: A system outage on NSE would enable its traders to shift their trades to BSE.
The regulator has advised exchanges and the opposite stakeholders within the trading ecosystem to work on this and launch the power by April 1, 2025.
