Rheinmetall and Leonardo’s agreement seen as key to EU defence consolidation


Germany’s Rheinmetall and Italy’s Leonardo have shaped a three way partnership to consolidate the European defence car sector.
The chief govt of the 2 teams Armin Papperger of Rheinmetall and Roberto Cingolani of Leonardo has expressed their optimism in regards to the partnership on Thursday.
Papperger acknowledged that the agreement has the potential to capitalize on a European market price over 50 billion euros ($53.99 billion), in accordance to Reuters.
“My expectation is that, with (this) cooperation only on the vehicle side, there is a market of more than 50 bln euros, a huge market that we can conquer,” Papperger stated in a recorded message posted on-line.
