Japanese alcoholic beverage maker Suntory sets up India subsidiary


Japanese multinational brewing and distilling firm Suntory on Thursday stated it has set up an Indian subsidiary to speed up its enterprise within the nation. The new firm — Suntory India — will start operations in July and will likely be headed by Managing Director Masashi Matsumura. The firm will set up its workplace at Gurgaon, Haryana, in accordance with a press release.
This “aims to cover corporate functions required to build a firm business foundation and accelerate growth in its existing spirits business and establish opportunities for soft drinks as well as health and wellness businesses in the Indian market”, the assertion stated.
Suntory Holdings President & CEO Tak Niinami stated this will likely be a brand new base in India, a rustic with a big inhabitants and a quickly rising financial system.
