FM: Will ensure taxpayer money is put to best use


NEW DELHI: Promising to proceed with the reform push, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday mentioned the Narendra Modi govt intends to proceed to maximise the worth and affect of hard-earned taxpayer money, making certain it is put to the best attainable use for the advantage of all.

Listing out a collection of measures taken by the Centre during the last 10 years, Sitharaman mentioned varied expenditure reforms have helped govt save curiosity prices whereas constructing transparency and effectivity in treasury administration.
“This is critical as it reduces the wastage of crucial resources, allowing them to be utilised for welfare measures. It also ensures that every rupee collected from taxpayers is used with utmost efficiency. Various measures have been taken to improve expenditure efficiency by reducing unspent and parked funds at various levels,” she tweeted.
