NEW DELHI: Female passengers on IndiGo will now be find a way to see which all seats have been pre-booked by females on the time of net check-in and accordingly select their seats if they want to achieve this. This characteristic, the airline says, has been launched after market analysis to make “travel experience more comfortable for our female passengers.”
“The feature offers visibility of seats booked by female passengers, only during web check-in.It is specifically tailored to PNRs with women travellers — solo as well as part of family bookings.… (this is) currently in pilot mode aligning with our ‘girl power’ ethos,” the airline stated in an announcement.
At the time of seat choice, the characteristic reveals seats which were pre-booked by feminine travellers. The rationale behind the transfer is to enable feminine travellers, particularly if travelling solo, to pre-book a seat next to one occupied by one other feminine for security causes, if they want to.
