NEW YORK — The Yankees’ season is down to two full weeks of baseball, then at least one playoff game.
Maybe just one playoff game.
In the next few days, it will become official that the Yankees will be in the American League Wild Card Game for the second year in a row and third time in four. It might take all 162 games to determine whether the Yanks will be the host for their do-or-die game for the second year in a year and third time in four or be playing the Oakland Athletics on the road.

Are the Yankees worried how they’ve been playing?
Based off of the comments made Saturday by manager Aaron Boone and some of his players, I’d say they’re alarmed.
As usual, Boone mixed a lot of positive into his post-game reaction, but the look on his voice, the tone of his voice and some of his words illustrated concern.
