The Walking Dead confirms MAJOR spoiler in Rick’s death dream sequence?

This week’s episode of saw both Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan make their exits as Rick Grimes and Maggie Rhee respectively.

It also introduced the next time jump, this time of a number of years, as seen by a pre-teen Judith (Cailey Fleming).

Then there was the arrival of a new group of survivors, including Magna (Nadia Hilker) and Connie (Lauren Ridloff).

But there was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment in one of Rick’s hallucinations that could confirm a major storyline from the comics is coming to the show.

As Rick walked through the field of dead bodies, eagle-eyed viewers noticed Rosita (Christian Serratos) and Eugene (Josh McDermitt) were holding hands.

They have had a love-hate friendship on the show but have showed no signs of romance up until now.

In the comic, however, they do become involved romantically, with Rosita initially struggling to accept her attraction to Eugene.

She eventually gives in and they begin a relationship and Rosita even falls pregnant – though not with Eugene’s baby.

In the comics, the baby is Siddiq’s and he does appear in the show, played by (Avi Nash), which could mean more foreshadowing.

Sadly, Rosita is killed by The Whisperers before she gives birth, her head displayed on a pike to deter the twisted group’s enemies.

It has been confirmed that Rosita and Eugene will be spending some one-on-one time together, so this comic storyline could be coming to the show.

In the pre-season trailer, they were seen hiding from a herd of walkers in a muddy ditch.

This scene also confirmed The Whisperers were coming, as the duo heard the walkers say: “Where are they?”

Could their shared fear of the unknown bring them closer together and see this comic story come to fruition?

The Walking Dead continues Mondays at 9pm on Fox UK and streams on NOW TV.
