Kangana Ranaut, who is currently gearing up for her upcoming film, ‘Thalaivi‘, a biopic based on the life of the late politician J Jayalalithaa. She has been working hard for the biopic. From learning the Tamil language to Bharatnatyam, the actress is seen doing all to get into the skin of the character.
Today on the occasion of J Jayalalithaa’s death anniversary, Kangana was spotted on the sets paying her a tribute to the late actress. The actress was seen wearing a blue floral print checkered top and same design printed pants as she was seeking blessings.
Meanwhile, Jayalalithaa was the CM of Tamil Nadu for over fourteen years between 1991 and 2016. In September 2016, she fell severely ill and was hospitalized for 75 days. Later, on December 5, 2016, the politician passed away.
During an interview while talking about taking up a regional film like Jayalalithaa, Kangana said that there is a disconnect with that part of the country. She was waiting for a good opportunity to work over there and this film just came her way. She was working on her biopic, but the politician’s story is very similar to her story. It is a bigger success story than hers. When she heard the narration of this film, she found many similarities between both the stories and therefore she decided to take up the project.
